Runners Run Half Marathon in Birmingham’s Victoria Square

To help raise awareness of the first ever EDF Energy Birmingham Half Marathon event ambassador Blind Dave and staff members from Up & Running on Temple Street recently ran a half marathon on a treadmill in Victoria Square.

Up & Running, a nationwide chain of running specialist stores, are officially supporting the EDF Energy Half Marathon, also known as the Race Against Climate Change, and staff demonstrated to members of public how the 13.1 mile distance can be run.

Wearing the right footwear is of major importance when taking on a challenge like the EDF Energy Birmingham Half Marathon, so staff from the Up & Running store also demonstrated the gait analysis that the store offers, which involves a computer being linked to a treadmill to show runners exactly how they run and allows staff to provide expert advice on the sort of footwear that they should be wearing.

A reporter from My Brum TV also attended the event and to see his video
